There are many speculations on the safety of water consumption within the park, although no incidents have occurred to us or any guest to date, the option for bottled water is up to you.
Here are some tips for alternative water usage.

- Purchase bottled water from the store in the park
- Boil water from the tap for at least 1 minute

Heats in the bushveld can reach temperatures of up to 50'C along with high humidity. To avoid possible heatstroke during the times of OCT - MAY it is advised to remain indoors and consume a lot of water.
INSECTS
- Insect Repellent
​​As you are entering the bushveld the chances of contracting things like Tic Bite Fever are much higher. Note that the park is also home to various venomous snakes and scorpions. There is a local doctor in the park equipped with antivenom.
SYMPTOMS
- Tick Bite : Fever, Headache, Tiredness, Muscle Pain, Red Sores...
MALARIA
- Malaria Treatment
Although it is not a necessity, the part of the bushveld you will be entering is a higher risk of Malaria. You can have a doctor administer malaria prevention treatment to you before your departure.
- Malaria : Headache, Fatigue, Nausea, Vomiting, Chills, Fever, Muscle Ache...
MEDICATION
- Adequate amount of needed medication

The nearest hospital to the park is +-100kms away. this is rather far in case of serious emergencies, although the park does have a doctor, they do have full hospital equipment or facilities.
ADDITIONAL
Basic needs can be met within the park itself. Food stores, medical site, liquor stores, fuel stations, post, carwash, butchery, realtor, hair/nail salon, dump sight, restaurants, giftshops and more are all accessible right inside the park.
